Hana has been acting a little possessive while in her crate. When Harvey comes near and she doesn't want him around she will make a mean noise and kind of lunge toward him a bit. I know she would never hurt him or bite (even if she did her teeth are the size of a pin head, ha) but it's worrying me on how this recovery will affect her temperament. After her spaying and then her first knee surgery she was very scared of people and new dogs. She wouldn't let anyone besides Matt and me pick her up. We took her to training classes recently and have been working on this and it's been helping a bit. Now that she had this surgery again I'm scared she will be even worse than before. I hope that doesn't happen. I put her on the couch on her sick pillow to sleep next to me and when Harvey came over she didn't act like that, so I think it's only when she's in her crate or when she has a treat or food. I'll be keeping him away from her while she's in there since stress is not ever good while recovering.
When I put her on her puppy pad to do her business, I noticed she is still not attempting to put any weight on her leg at all. I know it's only been 5 days, I'm just curious when she'll start to try. We are under strict orders not to take her for walks or anything so I bet it will be a while.
I want to thank everyone who has donated toward Hana's surgery. It's really, really helping a lot and we are extremely grateful. I've been overwhelmed at the response and very touched. So thank you, again.
Here are some pictures from today. I put Hana on her potty pad and she was so sleepy that she tried to take a nap on it!

She is filthy from the canned food being messy, her hating the Clavamox which causes me to miss her mouth sometimes while giving it to her, she has yellow hair from not being able to squat all the way while peeing, etc. I can't wait until her stitches come out and I can bathe her (carefully, of course).

Glad you and Hana liked the p.j.'s. I got the smallest ones - hope they fit - she is sooooo tiny.
